Copper has receipts.

Copper isn't a beauty trend borrowed from a serum. It's an essential trace mineral involved in processes that support collagen and elastin, with well-established antimicrobial properties.

More interestingly, copper-containing pillowcases have actually been studied. Two double-blind randomised trials reported measurable improvements in the appearance of wrinkles, crow's feet and skin roughness.

No new twelve-step routine required. They literally went to bed.

Why copper →

What your pillow is bringing to bed

Keeps more of your skincare where you put it

Silk is less absorbent than cotton, helping your serums and creams stay on your skin instead of becoming very expensive pillow food.

Less friction. More peace.

Smooth mulberry silk creates less drag against skin and hair overnight. Particularly useful when your face insists on spending several hours pressed into it.

Copper on the night shift

Copper has antimicrobial properties and plays a role in the processes that support collagen and elastin. Copper-treated pillowcases have also been studied for their effect on the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The good silk

Grade 6A long-fibre mulberry silk at 22 momme. Dense, smooth and durable.

Your beauty sleep is a terrible thing to waste.

Pure silk gives your skin a smoother, less absorbent place to spend the night. We added copper because doing nothing felt a little underqualified.

Silk protects the routine. Copper upgrades it.

Good for

Skin that takes its skincare seriously.

Feels like

The pillow at a very expensive hotel you briefly considered stealing.

Works while

You very much do not.

Cotton, we need to talk.

Cotton is greedy. It's self-absorbed and quietly hostile. Taking more from the surface of your skin and creating friction as you move through the night.

Silk takes less. Less drag against skin and hair, and less of your carefully applied night routine disappearing into your pillow.

Then we added copper, an essential trace mineral involved in processes that support collagen and elastin, with well-established antimicrobial properties.

Silk protects the routine. Copper upgrades it.

What does momme mean?

Momme is the weight measure for silk, roughly the way thread count works for cotton. Higher momme means denser, more durable fabric.

Ours is independently confirmed at 22 momme, which sits at the heavier end of what gets sold as a silk pillowcase. It falls rather than floats.

Will the copper wash out?

Copper-treated fabric is not permanent the way a colour is. Washing takes a little with each cycle, which is true of every copper textile on the market.

We don't have long-run durability data of our own yet, so we're not going to quote a number we can't stand behind. Washing cool and gently is what keeps it in longest.

The details
Fabric

100% Grade 6A long-fibre mulberry silk. The highest silk grade, chosen for its long, consistent fibres and beautifully smooth finish.

Weight

22 momme.

Copper

Treated with a 5% copper-ion solution to pair the natural benefits of silk with copper technology.

Size

Standard Australian pillowcase · 48 × 74 cm

Closure

Envelope closure. No zip to catch delicate silk, wear out or introduce unnecessary hardware into bed.

Available as

A set of two, or a single.

Origin

Designed in Melbourne. Woven and made in one of China's historic silk capitals, with over 5,000 years of silk-making tradition handed down through generations.

Single or set?

The set is $252 for two, against $144 for a single — so two singles would be $288. The set saves you $36 and means a clean one is ready to go while the other is in the wash.

Buy them together and they also arrive from the same colour run and age disgracefully well together. It also means laundry day never requires a temporary demotion back to cotton.

The single is perfect if you're testing the waters, gifting one, or easing yourself in. Consider it the gateway pillowcase and we won't say "told you so" when the second follows.

Is she high maintenance?

Cold water. Gentle, enzyme-free detergent. Wash inside out by hand or on a delicate cycle in a mesh bag. Air dry out of direct sun.

No bleach. No fabric softener. No tumble dryer.

A little respect, not a spa day.

Hand holding copper-infused mulberry silk

Silk already does plenty. Copper is why ours does more.

Copper is an essential trace mineral involved in processes that support collagen and elastin, with well-established antimicrobial properties.

And this isn't purely theoretical. Copper-containing pillowcases have been studied in two double-blind randomised trials, with measurable improvements reported in the appearance of wrinkles and crow's feet.

Pillow Talk

What copper brings to bed.

Copper brings the science. Silk brings manners.

Collagen + elastin

Copper is involved in processes that support collagen and elastin, two proteins important to skin structure and elasticity.

Tiny mineral. Serious responsibilities.

Antimicrobial by nature

Copper is widely studied for its antimicrobial properties, including in textiles.

Useful credentials for something spending the night pressed against your face.

Silk protects the routine

Silk creates less friction and is less absorbent than cotton, giving your skin and hair a gentler place to spend the night.

Exactly the kind of environment we want for the skin barrier we are slightly obsessed with.

Copper pillowcase clinical trial research results

What The Research Shows

Measured, not assumed.

Two double-blind randomised studies compared copper-containing pillowcases with pillowcases without copper.

57 People · 4 Weeks

Significant improvements were reported in wrinkles, crow's feet, fine lines and general skin appearance.

61 People · 8 Weeks

A second study reported improvements in crow's feet and measured skin roughness.

We reference the research because we prefer receipts to very enthusiastic adjectives.

Copper-infused silk pillowcase versus cotton

Choose your bedfellows wisely.

The seductive temptress from every romcom. Cotton is greedy, self-absorbed and quietly hostile. It absorbs more of the skincare you paid for, pulls at your face when you turn and leaves sleep creases in its wake.

Silk is the loyal best friend. Smooth, less absorbent and far gentler on skin and hair.

Our copper-infused silk is the same friend with better connections, bringing antimicrobial, collagen-supporting copper to the party while you sleep. Your new ride-or-die.

Less taking. More giving. Exactly what your night routine was missing.
